Who are we?
The Artist Rights Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2023 by Dr. David C. Lowery, founder of the bands Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven and Senior Lecturer in the Music Business Program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and Austin music lawyer Chris Castle. The Institute studies artist rights and advocates on artist rights issues in forums in the U.S. and internationally.
